Early dinner@the beach

Radishes thinly sliced on light
Buttered bread w aged Dutch cheese
Shavings, packed in old tin cookiebox.
Sunsetting, we're waiting for fathers's
Arrival& when he does appear still
Wearing office suit, bare feet, goes for
Quick swim, then dinner, mother hands
Out the sandwiches, I 'm shivering in
Clammy beachtowels, my feet tucked
In warm sand: savoring bread&cheese
